ALERT for Monday, Oct. 7thWe have received multiple reports today of members receiving calls from fraudsters claiming to be from APL Federal Credit Union asking for their Online Banking credentials. In some instances these fraudsters are even able to spoof the phone number, making it seem like you are receiving a legitimate call from the Credit Union. The caller may claim that your account or debit/credit card has been compromised, then ask you for personal information, your login credentials or card numbers to verify your identity and “reset” your account. They will then use this information to gain access to your account or to make fraudulent purchases on your cards. If you get a call that resembles this scenario, please refrain from giving out any personal information. You should hang up immediately and contact the Credit Union directly using our published number. At APL FCU we have numerous fraud prevention measures in place, but you can assist us by keeping an eye on your accounts. If you are in doubt about any incoming emails or calls, refrain from giving any personal information and contact the Credit Union immediately at 443.778.5250. Please note:
